From End Notes on the crisis Posted on June 7th
so i missed this when it first came out. Its from some of the people who were previously participated in the Aufheben (I’m sure there is gossip there that I’ve been told but I can’t remember. I wonder how many people are left now in Aufheben?). It’s quite good, if more on the same radical/ultraleft analysis. Its interesting how many people share the same view: financialisation as counter-offensive, income vs wages, etc. But worth the read anyhow.
Trackback URLThe capitalist counter-attack and restructuring has involved fundamental alterations in the class relation through the defeat of the old workers’ movement and the obsolescence of its institutions (trade unions and parties) which promoted the rising power of the proletariat within capitalist society; the new shape of the class relation and the financialisation of this relation depend ultimately on the ability of capital to extract sufficient surplus-value in the global economy (by increasing productivity and by the intensification of labour).
